More than one hundred Venezuelan cities raised their voices to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, said Nahum Fernández, vice president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

“The aggression against Caracas is condemned by more than 90% of the Venezuelan people. Caracas has been in protest since the attack, and today people are in the streets with a clear demand: the return of Maduro, the return of Cilia Flores,” Fernández emphasized.

The revolutionary leader emphasized that Venezuela is a peaceful nation, whose history is marked by popular organization to guarantee fundamental rights. “Our message is not one of war nor has it ever been. President Maduro is the great champion of national dialogue, of debate with communes, workers and even with the opposition. That's why the town stays on the street, loyal to its historic project,” he said.

Finally, he emphasized that national demonstrations have three fundamental objectives: to reaffirm that only an organized people can govern Venezuela, to guarantee stability in communities and to demand respect for national sovereignty.
