This Saturday, December 13, the head of government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, denounced that the aggressions and attacks undertaken by the United States against are against the people of Venezuela, with the intention of seizing the country's natural resources to satisfy their own economic interests.

During the March against Yankee Piracy in Caracas, he said that the narratives promoted by Washington to present Venezuela as a violent State have been dismantled, arguing that peace diplomacy promoted by the Bolivarian Government has prevailed on the international stage.

He stated that the “lies of North American imperialism” have failed to isolate the country or justify the coercive actions applied against the nation. At the same time, he reiterated that the supposed US fight against drug trafficking in the Caribbean is false, pointing out that drug trafficking originates in countries such as Ecuador.

He reiterated that the U.S. authorities actually act to combat drug trafficking; and he affirmed that the accusations against Venezuela are used as a pretext to justify their military and political presence in the region.

The head of government also reported the theft of a Venezuelan vessel in the Caribbean by the United States, which was not carrying oil legally purchased by businessmen.

As for the “Nobel Prize” awarded to the far-right María Corina Machado, he specified that she symbolizes hate, war and violence, and not peace. In addition, he argued that these sectors have tried to do business with the United States to hand over the resources of the Venezuelan people.

He pointed out that all the aggressions and attacks of North American imperialism seek to damage the happiness of the people and cause a famine in Venezuela, supported by the country's extreme right.

In view of this, he stressed that the population has a Bolivarian Government to defend the nation and its sovereignty. In turn, he called on the people to continue fighting to maintain the peace and independence of the entire Venezuelan territory.
