On this International Worker's Day, thousands of Venezuelan citizens and workers took to the streets of the capital to express their support for the family of Maikelys Espinoza, a girl kidnapped by the United States Government.
From Libertador Avenue, the vice-president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernández, highlighted the importance of family unity in this demonstration, stressing that Venezuelans have come out together to demand justice and the prompt release of Maikelys Espinoza.
“The Venezuelan family supports the Venezuelan family. Today, workers are marching in unity, with symbols and prints that represent our struggle. This viral image of the next few days will be the emblem of our demand for justice, so that they return our girl to us,” said Fernández.
In addition, the political leader denounced the persecution plans promoted by sectors of the international right, with the purpose of criminalizing the Venezuelan people.
Fernández thanked the workers for their massive participation, who gathered on Libertador Avenue and its surroundings as a sign of solidarity and commitment to the cause.
