Nahum Fernández: We will continue to consolidate our peace

The head of the Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, invited us to “continue consolidating our peace” during the Great March of Social Movements for the liberation of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. He stressed that national stability is a priority at this time.

Fernández assured that the functions will continue to be carried out normally thanks to the great work being carried out by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez and indicated that, until now, governance and peace have been guaranteed, despite the fact that some external actors expect a scenario of internal confrontation.

The head of Dtto. Capital recalled that “we have never been closed to dialogue” and stressed that President Maduro has been frank in all conversation processes. He reiterated that the country maintains an open position to resolve differences through political means.

He also stressed that “we are not a people of war” and that the People's response has been to defend stability without giving in to provocations. He expressed his pride in Venezuelan soldiers, stressing that “there are our boys who came out to defend the Homeland”, even though their conditions are different from those of the US army.

Fernández concluded his speech with a new call to maintain mobilization and strengthen peace, considering that this is the path to face the current situation and ask for the release of President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.
