Nancy Haidar and Leandro Álvarez have 6 medals for Venezuela Córdoba 2025 School Games

With an impeccable performance, young Venezuelan athletes Nancy Haidar and Leandro Álvarez won two gold medals, two silver and two bronze medals, in the Taekwondo discipline, in the Poomsae modality at the 2025 Central American and Caribbean School Sports Games, which are held in Córdoba, Colombia.

Haidar and Álvarez won the gold medal in the Poomsae Pair category, after beating the duo representing Panama, according to the Venezuelan Taekwondo Federation on its Instagram account.

In addition, the Venezuelan duo in the poomsae freestyle modality as a couple, won the bronze medal.

Álvarez also won the silver and bronze medals in men's freestyle poomsae and individual poomsae, respectively.

On the other hand, Haidar won the gold medal in the women's individual Freestyle poomsae and the silver medal in the women's individual poomsae category.

Under the direction of teacher José Ángel Mendoza and coaches Javier Delgado and Danny Iserny, Haidar and Álvarez each took the podium 3 times on the first day of the 7th School, Central American and Caribbean Sports Games, Venezuela.
