The Solidarity Network with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the city of Naples, Italy, was activated to form the Neapolitan chapter of the “Bring Them Back” Movement.
Institutional representatives, leaders of social movements, political parties, associations, peace activists, students, academics, journalists and intellectuals gathered at the headquarters of the GalleriArt Cultural Association, of the Prince Gallery of Naples, in an open assembly attended by about 100 people to denounce the kidnapping of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros and First Lady Cilia Flores.
The event was attended by the Venezuelan Consul General in Naples, Esquía Rubín De Celis Núñez, who conveyed greetings from the Bolivarian Government and deeply thanked those present for their support and closeness to the Venezuelan people, at this historic moment when the Head of State and his wife were kidnapped.
The participants denounced the illegal military aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela on January 3 and agreed to reject what happened, as it constituted an atrocious violation of the international legal order.
Dario Carotenuto, Italian parliamentarian of the Five Star Movement, recalled the innocent victims of the attack on Venezuela, defining it as an “act of State terrorism” that was not preceded by any declaration of war, “we simply woke up at the dawn of the new year with the kidnapping of a democratically elected President”.
Solidarity groups and political parties agreed to carry out a series of initiatives, street events, assemblies, forums, exchange with the media, which will constitute the agenda of the “Bring Them Back” movement in Naples.
