Despite the aggressions of the United States Government, the National Assembly (AN) 2026-2031 will be installed next Monday, January 5, said Deputy Gabriela Peña.

Peña, who participated in the mobilization in repudiation of the US military attack this Saturday, assured that the people in their iron democratic determination and, through the vote, decided to be free, independent and sovereign.

In this regard, according to a press release from the parliament, he stated that precisely because they did not give in to the empire's pretensions, they have chosen to kidnap the Head of State. In this regard, he joined the demands made by the Venezuelan people to the government of Donald Trump, to release the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady Cilia Flores.

“It is up to us to have calm, sanity and nerves of steel, as has been the instruction of the President of the Republic in recent days; but also, maximum mobilization to demand the restitution of his functions as Prime Minister in order to give continuity to his term of office,” Peña said.
