The National Assembly, which began its functions in 2021 and ends its term in 2025, executed a total of 301 sessions to approve laws and agreements in favor of the Venezuelan people, said the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez.
“We have had 301 sessions to take care of our country, our people,” Rodríguez said, recalling how the previous National Assembly, dominated by the extreme right, served to confirm the theft of the nation's strategic companies and “enslave” itself to North American imperialism.
“These black heralds of the opposition knelt down in the face of the most serious offenses against Venezuela, against the Homeland, and the well-being of our people. They promoted sanctions against people, they are happy with the aggressive actions against Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea,” he said.
He also indicated that the outgoing NA approved 100 laws aimed at increasing the rights and guarantees available to the inhabitants of Venezuela. In this regard, he recalled, for example, that one of the approved legal instruments is the Esequiba Guiana Defense Act; the Youth Chamba Act; the laws that guarantee maternity and paternity, among others.
