National Council for Sovereignty and Peace declares itself permanently active in defense of peace

The National Council for Sovereignty and Peace agreed to declare itself permanently active in defense of peace, in the face of the most recent aggressions of the U.S. empire and the ongoing international disinformation campaign of psychological terrorism against Venezuela.

“Peace will triumph in Venezuela, not only to defend peace, but also to defend the fact of being Venezuelan, because that is what they are going against,” he emphasized.

This was stated by the Secretary of the Council, Jorge Rodríguez, at the end of the meeting that this body held this Thursday, December 18, with various political, academic, religious, business, employers, workers, workers, workers, youth and representatives from various social spheres for the debate on the defense of the Fatherland in unity.

Rodríguez stated that North American imperialism “wants to make us the culprits of everything bad that has happened on this planet, because that's how the supremacists and the fascists act.”

“Defending the Venezuelan being involves defending Venezuela, defending our economy, the production of our oil, gold, our wealth. For defending and seeking prosperity, because how curious, just when the Venezuelan economy is growing like a rocket, aggressive actions are increasing,” he said.

In that regard, he stressed that if they couldn't in 2019 and 2020, “when we were in much more economic difficulties, are they going to be able to do it now? that with great pride we say that we are the fastest growing economy in the Continent”.
