National Day of the Four will be celebrated with a concert in the Plaza de la Juventud (+4April)

As part of the celebration of the National Day of the Four, on Sunday, April 4, the concert “Our Four Celebrates the 4th” will be held at the Plaza de la Juventud in Caracas at 4:00 p.m.

This day will be attended by Ensamble Cuatro, Suena 4 and the National Typical Orchestra conducted by Ángel Pérez. Admission is free for those who want to attend the concert.

The National Day of the Four in Venezuela is celebrated on April 4 of each year, officially decreed in 2024 to honor the country's most representative musical instrument.

The four is an essential element in various musical genres in Venezuela, such as the joropo, the gaita, the calypso, among others. The Venezuelan four was declared Cultural Heritage of Venezuela in 2013.
