National Executive extends economic emergency decree for 60 more days

The state of economic emergency, in
force since April of this year, was extended for 60 more days, in order to allow the
National Executive to adopt the urgent, exceptional and
necessary regulations and measures to preserve economic balance and guarantee the population
the full enjoyment of their rights
The decision was published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette No. 6,944, and
allows the National Government to issue exceptional and
transitory regulations to restore economic balances. In addition, to suspend the application
and collection of national, state and municipal taxes in order to protect
the productive apparatus, among other powers.
It also authorizes President
Nicolás Maduro to dictate other social, economic or political measures that he
deems necessary to preserve the country's stability in the face of the international situation
