National Executive inaugurates modern headquarters of the National Gaita Foundation in Maracaibo

President Nicolás Maduro led the inauguration of the headquarters of the National Gaita Foundation, in the city of Maracaibo, which will have the mission of multiplying and protecting the musical genre.

“Very happy to be here and to see this dream come true, which for the people of Zulians represents the miracle of the construction of this National Headquarters of the Gaita Foundation, to multiply throughout the country,” said the head of state.

The headquarters of the National Gaita Foundation, “Pipers of the Heart”, was assigned by President Nicolás Maduro in March of this year so that future and current generations of pipers have a recording studio for boys and girls to promote and maintain the culture of the musical genre, as well as a radio station with 24 hours of broadcasting, rehearsal rooms, medical and social services for older adult pipers who have already benefited.

“Pipers and pipers will have their doors open to train and be served,” stressed President Nicolás Maduro, during his visit to the selected building where the Multinational Insurance Company operated and belonged to Fogade.

Currently, 3,000 boys and girls in the 18 parishes of Maracaibo are training in the gaita genre and this will be a venue that they will undoubtedly make the most of.
