In a live broadcast with the president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, the reinauguration of the Surgical and Intensive Care Area of the “Dr. Ricardo Baquero González” Surgical Medical Hospital, known as the Peripheral of Catia, took place this Friday.

The health center, located in Los Flores de Catia, Comuna Flores en Revolución, in the Sucre parish of the Libertador municipality, received the pass through the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez.

Recovered operating rooms will even be useful for emergencies and electrical surgeries, and in addition, for those surgeries that compromise patients' sepsis and for those patients with immunosuppression.

“It's a type 3 hospital that offers the necessary services so that our population, in case of emergency, can stay healthy from all those surgeries they require,” said the head of the health portfolio.

A/J Carmen Meléndez, mayor of Caracas, and Dr. Rosalbina Hurtado, the sole health authority of Caracas, were present at the site for the delivery of the works.

“We are happy because every time they recover spaces like this it is to give health to our people, because it makes all the people of Caracas happy. You are there with a space for women, meeting the apex of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission, and here in the western outskirts of Catia, because we are delivering this important work,” said the mayor, detailing that five operating rooms were recovered in total.
