The National
Cinemateca Foundation announced the celebration of National Film Day on January
28, with a special program that includes the premiere of
contemporary works and the screening of classic films, all as part of
129 years of national cinema.
Beyond the
exhibition, the institution bulwark in the protection of film heritage has
reactivated its research and training spaces. The
Documentation Center is now operational from Monday to Friday, while the classrooms
resume the Diploma in Conservation and Preservation.
On the bill, the series “Venezuela Raising Voices”
stands out, with titles such as “The
Insolent Plant” by Román Chalbaud and the series “Nicolás”.
The network of rooms,
which includes spaces in Caracas such as the Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts and
regional headquarters in San Carlos, San Cristóbal, Tucupita and the reactivated
Macuto room, seeks to reconnect the public with their identity.
In addition, the Cinemateca invited national filmmakers to screen their works, when managing requests through the email [email protected].
