National futsal team among the top 20 in the world

The Venezuelan men's national team, in the Futsal discipline, is ranked 18th in the world while the women's team ranked 22nd worldwide.

The latest update of the FIFA Futsal World Ranking specifies that within the South American Confederation, the country is ranked fourth in the men's category and in sixth place in the women's category.

In January 2026, the Llaneros will compete in the Copa América de Ecuador, which will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2028 World Cup.
