National Government advances actions to increase installed capacity in Venezuelan industries

The Ministry of Industries and National Production set up a productive chain table with representatives of the construction sector, with the objective of establishing effective mechanisms to increase the installed capacity of the national industry.

According to a press release, the fundamental purpose of this instance is to effectively address critical issues and facilitate the necessary processes in its production chain to boost the competitiveness of items manufactured in the country in the face of international competition.

As part of the agreements reached, the Together Everything Is Possible Corporation will incorporate the domestic production of these manufacturers into its major infrastructure projects. In addition, the Corporation will integrate the experience of organized communities in the execution of the works, encouraging popular participation and self-management.

These actions are framed in the National Import Substitution Plan, which seeks to progressively increase the use of inputs and products made in Venezuela, reducing dependence on imported goods.
