The Bolivarian Government is making progress in the rehabilitation and comprehensive adaptation of the facilities of the Dr. José Ignacio Baldó Hospital Complex, known as El Algodonal, located in the Antímano parish in the west of Caracas.

The works are carried out through a multidisciplinary technical office coordinated by the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Service with the objective of optimizing the operational capacities of the healthcare center and consolidating the National Public Health System.

With regard to medical infrastructure, technical reports record significant progress in the remodeling of operating rooms, internal medicine areas, care and hospitalization rooms, as well as dormitories intended for the rest of health personnel, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Public Works.

In terms of basic services, the Ministry of Water Care completed the sanitation and disinfection of the reserve tanks, reactivated the hospital's deep water well and installed a purification and chlorination system that is now fully operational.

In parallel, the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out the rehabilitation of external public lighting from the Antímano Intercommunal Avenue to the entrance of the complex, in addition to the replacement and modernization of internal luminaires.

With regard to vertical mobility within the facilities, the recovery of the eight elevators in the complex is in progress, of which four are already operational and a fifth elevator is expected to be delivered over the next few days.

In addition, crews from the Caracas Mayor's Office maintain permanent weeding, controlled felling and preventive pruning of trees in outdoor areas to ensure the safety of patients and workers.
