National Government and PAHO establish criteria for epidemiological surveillance in field hospitals

The Ministry of Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) defined criteria for the epidemiological surveillance system in the nine field hospitals authorized to treat those affected by the double earthquake of last June 24.

According to a press release from the Ministry replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), a working table was held on the management of temporary care centers in the emergency network.

At the meeting, basic guidelines for disease monitoring, data collection and preventive actions in the face of possible epidemiological outbreaks were established.

In addition, representatives of both agencies agreed on communication channels to ensure efficient care in these spaces.
