The sectoral vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, held a working meeting with the governor of the state of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo, and the Minister for Water Care, Rodolfo Marco Torres, in order to evaluate progress in the repair of the Turimiquire tunnel.
During the day, the authorities reviewed the details of the operational plan active in the states of Sucre and Nueva Esparta. This strategy seeks to mitigate water supply failures and ensure the drinkability of the resource through the permanent deployment of specialized technical equipment in affected areas.
Minister Ramírez emphasized that the constant monitoring of these tasks is essential to normalize the service and respond to the demand of the population in both entities, Ultime News reports.
The National Executive maintains a direct approach that includes the inspection of engineering works and the maintenance of distribution networks.
The adaptation of the Turimiquire tunnel is presented as the structural solution to stabilize the flow of water to the east, so current efforts are focused on accelerating execution times without compromising the technical safety of the project.
The authorities confirmed that the joint work between the ministries and the government will make it possible to optimize the response to the current situation.
The sector vice-president stressed that specialized personnel ensure that the distributed water meets the quality standards necessary for human consumption, while definitive improvements to the system are completed.
