In a joint effort to dignify the quality of life of the people of Miranda, the governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, and the mayor of the Plaza municipality, Antonio Galíndez, led the delivery of 200 new lights in the Los Naranjos sector of Guarenas.
This action is part of the strengthening of the “More Humane Guarenas” Plan and responds directly to the projects approved by the Popular Power in the recent National Popular Consultation.
According to a press release, the endowment has a positive impact on 11 communities that make up the 16 communal councils of the circuit, benefiting a population of more than 8,000 inhabitants. Governor Serrano stressed that the materialization of this project is a sign of resistance and progress in the face of difficulties.
“That victory is the product of the joint efforts of the three levels of government. We see the popular power acting to solve their problems, the mayor's office working for the demands, the regional government supporting and the national government contributing what is necessary to achieve effective progress,” said the regional president.
For his part, Mayor Antonio Galíndez stressed that his administration focuses on providing public services to all citizens without distinction. He highlighted that Los Naranjos is a strategic area for Guarenas, characterized by combative and committed neighborhood leadership.
“Just two weeks ago, the governor committed himself to lighting this sector and today he is keeping his word with determination. Thanks to the support of the Government, the Mayor's Office and Corpoelec, we have already installed almost a thousand luminaires throughout the municipality,” Galindez said.
The burgomaster explained that, after completing a first phase that illuminated the entire Comercio Street, 92% of the main streets in the municipality currently have operational public lighting. He also mentioned that the National Highway is also being serviced through the Popular Consultation.
