During the 2024-2025 school year, the Bolivarian Government achieved a 36% increase in the monthly food distribution of the School Feeding Program (PAE), as reported by the Ministry of Education.

According to a press release, this growth was especially reflected in the greater incorporation of proteins, fruits, vegetables and vegetables in school menus, which has made it possible to strengthen the nutritional quality of the student diet and to contribute directly to its integral development.

In support of this effort, the most recent report on Levels and Estimates of Malnutrition in Children Under 5 by 2025, published by the WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank, places Venezuela in the categories of low and very low child malnutrition in global prevalence maps.

Similarly, the National Institute of Nutrition (INN) reported that acute malnutrition in children under 5 years of age stands at 1.2%, while chronic malnutrition has fallen to 5.8%.

The 36% increase in food distribution -especially in proteins, fruits, vegetables and vegetables-, together with international recognition of advances in nutrition, consolidate the PAE as one of the most important social policies of the Bolivarian Government, aimed at the inclusion, equity and well-being of our students.
