National Government receives batch of medicines for kidney patients from Brazil

A new batch of drugs for the treatment of renal patients arrived this Friday, February 13, at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.

This is the fourth flight from Brazil loaded with donations of drugs that will be sent directly to 130 hospitals of the National Public Health System and 34 health centers in the private sector, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Health.

The holder of the ministerial portfolio, Nuramy Gutiérrez, together with the president of the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS), Carlos Alvarado, received the flight, accompanied by the Brazilian ambassador to Venezuela, Glivania María de Oliveira and the representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Venezuela, Negro Filho, and thanked, on behalf of the people and the National Government, the president's solidarity

, before the donation of drugs.

On this flight, kits for blood transfusions also arrived, required in health centers in the country.
