National Government strengthens the Health System in Carora with a new Intensive Care Unit

Delcy Rodríguez, President in Charge, the Bolivarian Government inaugurates this Friday, January 9, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the “Dr. Pastor Oropeza Riera” General Hospital. located in the Pedro León Torres municipality, and which represents a significant step forward in the consolidation of the Public Health System for the west of the country.

The activity in the state of Larense is led by Governor Luis Reyes Rey and accompanied by the State's Single Health Authority, Dr. Elizabeth Manzanilla. During the delivery, the authorities highlight that this new service is designed to expand medical response capacity to emergencies and critical care, ensuring specialized and free care for the inhabitants of Carora and adjacent areas.

The implementation of this ICU responds to the comprehensive health programs directed by the National Executive to strengthen the hospital network. The project contemplates the expansion of healthcare capacity by providing critical care beds with state-of-the-art equipment for the stabilization of patients, as well as specialized care consisting of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, guarantees ongoing monitoring and medical excellence in the region.

Governor Reyes highlighted the regional impact on health after this inauguration of the “Dr. Pastor Oropeza Riera” General Hospital, which is positioned as a reference center for the care of highly complex diseases in the Torres municipality.
