National leader: Colonial domination and imperial subordination have ended in Venezuela

“The time of colonial domination and the time of imperial subordination in Venezuela is over forever,” said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“We will guarantee it with our lives,” he said from the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly (AN), where he attended the act of enactment of the Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba.
In that regard, he argued that “ExxonMobil, the Southern Command and the president of Guyana are wrong about Venezuela. Very wrong in their position of imperial dispossession, in their warrior position, in their threatening position.”
On the other hand, he stressed that from outside the US empire “attacks our Venezuela, a Venezuela that is living in peace, that is recovering, progressing economically, a Venezuela in permanent public debate, exercising its liberties, its sovereignty.”
He also pointed out that in addition to the above-mentioned aggressions, “we also receive daily attacks from within an extremist fascist right that has not been able and will not be able to do more harm to this country.”
