National leader exalted President Petro's speech at the UN: He said what humanity needs to hear

This Monday, during his Con Maduro+ program, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed his admiration for the courage shown by his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, in his speech to the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

“A memorable performance, that of President Gustavo Petro and I, with all due respect to Colombia, to the internal politics of that sister country, express my admiration for its courage, for its strength; it is the strength of (Antonio) Nariño, of (Simon) Bolívar, of (Antonio) Ricaurte,” said the head of state.

He said that the speech of the New Granada president will remain in the history of the memorable moments that have occurred at the UN in its 80s.

“President Petro said what humanity needs to hear, so I think it's a characteristic element that will be marked on this 80th anniversary of the UN,” he predicted.
