National president announced the creation of the Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the creation of the Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences, which will start operating next July.

“I have decided to create a university of the highest level, we are building it in Las Colinas de Alto de Pipe and no later than the month of July, the new University of Sciences of Venezuela opens its doors,” he said.

This was stated in the state of Miranda, during the launch of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission “Humberto Fernández Morán”, where he maintained that this study center will address subjects of the highest level and specialization.

“We will bring the best prepared minds (...) the university was born with beautiful facilities next to the IVIC, so that the strength and energy of Humberto Fernández Morán are there,” he said.

He reiterated that the best women scientists in Venezuela will “form this seedbed that will graduate from their high schools and I have told the minister (Gabriela Jiménez), that we are going to implement a special plan to bring us the best scientists and teachers in the world: from China, India, Russia, Iran and also from the United States and they don't have to go abroad to study.”
