The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed this Thursday his desire to move forward in a process of constructive dialogue with the country's universities and the expansion of dialogue with all university movements.

From the Miraflores Palace, during the event for Venezuelan Student Day, the Head of State recalled that he has personally led the recovery of national universities.

“The Central University of Venezuela (UCV) was left in oblivion, when the rectory ruled there, the fascist extreme right left it almost closed, and I, using my powers, respecting autonomy, entered and recovered and put it as a package,” said the President.

On the other hand, Maduro urged student leaders to update the study programs for each of the careers of the country's universities.

“You are the generation that must update you because you are the technological generation of the 21st century and you have to be trained in the maximum application of technologies. We have to make that effort, we have to make the technological patriotic generation, technological revolutionary, technological socialist,” he emphasized.
