National president approved social protection coverage for Venezuelan fishermen

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, approved social protection coverage for Venezuelan fishermen and women through the Great Equality and Social Justice Mission “Hugo Chávez”.

“Comprehensive social care for rural, fishing and urban communities. Approved the 12th Summit,” he said, during an event held in Carúpano, in the state of Sucre, on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Venezuelan Fisherman and Fisherman.

In addition, the head of state announced that “tomorrow (this Friday, March 15) the sardine fishing season begins in blue Venezuela”.

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, explained that recently the head of state approved Summit number 12, within the framework of the Great AgroVenezuela Mission, which includes comprehensive care for peasant and fishing communities.

He stated that the application of the above-mentioned vertex covers aspects that are beyond the productive aspect, “understanding the human being in all its dimensions: health, housing, etc.”
