The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, vindicated the life and work of the Venezuelan scientist, Humberto Fernández Morán and urged the country's new generations to learn about the work of the scientist, as part of the reaffirmation of the Venezuelan affirmative.

The National President insisted not to cling to the “decadence and immorality” promoted by the capitalist system, which seeks to minimize the achievements of important scientists and scientists in the country.

“They want to sell us a fashion model or they want to sell them to us inevitably so as not to cling to the Venezuelan affirmative, to Bolívar, to José Antonio Abreu, to Humberto Fernández Morán (...) I say let's hold firmly to what we are, to our soul, to our spirituality, to the pure heart of each of the scientists and women scientists in Venezuela, to science for life,” he said during the launch of the Great Mission Science, Innovation and Technology.

He recalled that Fernández Morán was the victim of a campaign of hate and contempt that led him to live outside the country, “but that he loved Venezuela, that he loved our Liberator Simon Bolivar, one of the purest, most representative and most authentic Bolivarians that have existed in the history of 200 years in the history of our homeland Venezuela. We should really be very proud of Fernández Morán (...) of his work, of his achievement”, stressed the Head of State.

Humberto Fernández Morán turned 100 years old on February 18 of this year. In its centenary, we dedicate this major effort to the great transformations that have begun to have science and technology and innovation for life,” emphasized the Head of the National Executive.
