National President: In Venezuela, the investment process for gas production is accelerating

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, August 08, led the signing of agreements between the company Veneoranto Petroleum LTD, C.A. of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Ministry of People's Petroleum Power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The activity took place in the Salón Sol del Perú, in the Miraflores Palace, where he highlighted the importance of strengthening gas exploitation in Venezuela.

“I am glad that the investment process for gas production is already accelerating, from the Gulf of Venezuela and the Deltan Platform to, two South American, Caribbean and global gas powers,” he said.

He also stressed that he hopes that “very soon we will be exporting gas to Africa, we are face to face (geographically), they say that one day we were united territorially, several million years ago”.

The two agreements were signed by the Minister of Petroleum, Pedro Tellechea; and the representative of the Veneoranto Petroleum LTD, C.A. Company, Arthur Eze.

The first is the Technical-Economic Feasibility Agreement for the Development of the Barracuda Area, located in the territorial and surface waters of the Gulf of Venezuela, to be executed between the Ministry of Popular Petroleum Power and the company Veneoranto Petroleum Ltd, C.A.

Second, the Technical-Economic Feasibility Agreement for the development of the Serpent's Mouth area, located to the North-East of Delta Amacuro state, to be implemented by the Ministry of Petroleum and the company Veneoranto Petroleum LTD, C.A.
