The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, once again emphasized that “Venezuela is a clean territory free of drug trafficking”, the Venezuelan People, the Venezuelan State and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
In that direction, he stressed that the American empire has now changed the narrative since they currently do not accuse the leaders of the Peoples they intend to destroy as communist, nor do they call them terrorists but drug traffickers, “it's the gross, extravagant and bizarre accusation, it's drug trafficking.”
The head of state said that “unfortunately, North American society is the one with the highest consumption of drugs of all kinds in the world. So the United States calls what it calls the 'War on Drugs' is a failure. They have their population abandoned and they have to cure it. That's the truth.”
During the Digital Zone segment of the 89th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, he explained that the actions “in Catatumbo are to reinforce the strength of the strength, 15,000 well-armed men and women will go, prepared and trained to reinforce the entire binational zone, which goes from Táchira to La Guajira”.
He stressed that talks have been held with the Colombian Defense Minister, I hope we say that, it will flow well”, while announcing that very soon there will be videoconferences and conversations between our military and police officers throughout the binational zone and throughout the Colombian area.”
“We are making progress in guaranteeing, in accordance with the Constitution, the sovereignty, and self-determination of our territory,” he said.
