In his Con Maduro+ program this Monday, October 27, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the country projects economic growth that will exceed international estimates “it will exceed 9%, it is the Venezuelan miracle with its own efforts”.

After receiving a forecast from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which estimates an increase of 6% for the national economy, I assure that the country's “ statistical variables indicate that it will be higher than that figure”.

The Head of State specified that “we have achieved the path of breaking the dependence on oil subtraction, that error committed for 100 years must disappear. At their own lungs, with their own efforts, without depending on anyone in this world (...) The country's economy is increasingly robust and seeking to break with all dependence on oil.”

In that sense, he added that “no one will ever be able to get us out of the world's energy equation; but the mistake that was made 100 years, of depending on oil revenues, has to come to an end completely and we are in that direction”.
