National Risk Management System activated in three states of the country in response to effects caused by rains

After the passage of tropical wave No. 28 through the national territory, the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP) deployed the National Risk Management System (SNGR) to guarantee the care of populations affected in the Delta Amacuro, Sucre and Zulia states due to the heavy rains recorded this Saturday.

Among the services provided by this system is the shipment of more than 3,453 items and supplies to the state of Sucre, including mattresses, water tanks, lamps and ponchos, among others, reported by Prensa MPPRIJP.

In this region of the east of the country, nine communities in Güiria, Valdez municipality of Sucre state, were affected by the overflow of the Guatapanare River, the most impacted being Rio Salado, Valle Verde, La Frontera, Barrio Ajuro, Nueva Güiria, Rio Bautista, Yoco, Soro and Guarama.

In addition, 4,500 items and supplies have been sent to the state of Zulia to provide a timely response to affected families.

In the western Perijá subregion, there was heavy rainfall affecting a fishing population, as well as 200 families in the Barranquitas area.

Finally, 1,500 materials have been sent to the Delta Amacuro state, such as mosquito nets, hammocks and rubber boots.
