National Scientific Semilleros Program deploys training activities in the Macanao Peninsula

In an effort to territorialize scientific knowledge, the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Nueva Esparta) held an educational day aimed at urban boys and girls Hugo Chávez Frías from the Boca del Río sector, located in the Peninsula municipality of Macanao.

According to a press release, these activities are part of the Community Massification Plan of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program led by the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), with the purpose of disseminating knowledge based on observation, experimentation and systematic analysis of natural and social phenomena.

A total of 16 boys, girls and young people learned about “The Wonderful Marine World” in an educational way, a space in which they learned about the basic characteristics of birds, their morphology and the importance of this species on the planet, putting into practice the rules for their sighting through the use of binoculars.

Also, during the module referring to the “Magical World of Insects”, attendees observed the fundamental characteristics of these animals and their metamorphosis process through stereoscopic magnifying glasses and samples in entomological boxes. To complete the training course, in the area of Robotics, participants learned concepts about programming, electronics and mechanics, highlighting the importance of these technological areas in everyday life.
