National Sports Consultation begins with a view to the 2028 Olympic Games

As part of the culmination of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Minister of Popular Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonado, began the creation of the National Sports Consultation, for Venezuelan athletes to prepare for the next Olympic event in Los Angeles 2028.

The consultation began this Wednesday, August 15, until September 13 and has the active participation of athletes, coaches, federations, associations, committees, judges, referees, sports glories, universities and experts in applied sports sciences, as well as the contribution of media specialized in sports, as explained by Maldonado.

During this period, a comprehensive review and a comprehensive balance sheet will be carried out to build the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Plan. The Paralympic component will also be a fundamental part of this consultation, to reaffirm the commitment to inclusion and diversity in sport.

This new Olympic cycle is presented as an opportunity to identify and enhance the country's strengths in various disciplines. Individualized planning will allow efforts to be focused on outstanding performance in Los Angeles 2028.

The National Sports Consultation is a crucial step in the search for sporting excellence and the dignified representation of Venezuela on the international Olympic stage.
