Negros de San Jerónimo will receive certification in Cultural Heritage of the Nation

Los Negros de San Jerónimo will receive their certification as Cultural Heritage of the Nation this coming Thursday, November 21, as part of the seventh edition of the Viva Venezuela Festival, My Beloved Homeland, as reported through the Instagram social network of the institution Cultura Cardenal Quintero, in which people from Merida were invited to meet their Venezuelan roots.
“Join us and be part of the party that brings together the best of our roots!” , the institution indicated on the social network, in which it highlighted that the Viva Venezuela World Festival will be held in the states of Mérida, Táchira and Trujillo with 29 groups with traditional roots and the Artisan Heart Fair, which will highlight the cultural richness of the Andean region.
On this occasion, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reiterated that this seventh chapter will conclude the festival's journey throughout the national territory. “Let's celebrate the cultures of the Venezuelan Andes with the 7th edition of the Viva Venezuela World Festival,” he published.
Every September 30th, the feast of Saint Jerome, translator of the Bible and patron of translators, is celebrated in Santo Domingo, located in the state of Mérida. Saint Jerome was a priest in northeastern Italy who went down in history for having translated most of the Bible into Latin from the manuscripts of the New Testament.
