With the objective of exchanging legislative experiences and defining a joint work agenda, yesterday the Network of Young Parliamentarians of Venezuela and representatives of the Youth Parliament of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus held a meeting via videoconference.

The meeting, reported the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPE) on his website, focused on three fundamental axes: the presentation of delegations and their structures, the exchange of good practices in youth parliamentary work and the proposal of a joint agenda for future cooperation.

The Belarusian delegation shared its initiatives to promote patriotism and youth participation in the discussion of laws, such as the regulation of artificial intelligence and the promotion of young families.

For its part, the Venezuelan delegation reaffirmed the commitment of its young parliamentarians to the defense of sovereignty and national and regional peace.

Both delegations expressed interest in an upcoming visit to Belarus by Venezuelan deputy Mario Castillo, at the end of November, after his participation in an event in Moscow, Russia.

This visit seeks to consolidate the exchange of legislative experiences and establish an internship program for youth parliamentarians, marking the beginning of a solid and lasting relationship over time, as well as working actively against fascism and non-interference, aligned with the political positions of both countries.

The videoconference was attended by the second vice-president of the National Assembly (AN) of Venezuela, deputy América Pérez; the deputy of the AN, Ysis Cordero; the general director of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Europe and North America of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Omar Berroterán, and the Venezuelan ambassador to Belarus, Franklin Ramirez.

For the Republic of Belarus, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Republican Youth Union, Vladimir Kosski, and the president of the Youth Council of the Republic, Alina Yasinovskaya, participated.
