Margarita Island, in the state of Nueva Esparta, received 100 new Russian tourists from the Moscow-Porlamar charter operation in order to discover tourist destinations in Venezuela.
With these new visitors from Russia, the total number of arrivals since August has risen to 6,454 and to a record of 54,190 tourists of this nationality in the country, thanks to the management of the commercial office of Venezolana de Turismo (Venetur S.A.) in Russia.
This strategic and inclusive exchange strengthens bilateral cooperation and guarantees sustainable productive development for the well-being of the population. The initiative is part of the Seven Transformations and the twinning policies with the Russian Federation to overcome the rentier model in the face of a new production model.
It should be remembered that on December 8, the pearl of the Caribbean also offered a warm welcome to a group of 100 travelers from Moscow through the same commercial operation, which expresses the sustained influx of travelers to the Venezuelan nation and which confirms the continuity and success of the tourist corridor between Russia and Venezuela, a project that rests on the solid foundations of relations between both nations.
The experience of these foreign visitors transcends the attractions of Margarita Island with an itinerary that has been designed to offer an immersion in the geographical and cultural diversity of Venezuela, including destinations such as Caracas, natural wonders, with expeditions to Canaima, the Puerto Cabello - Morrocoy coastal corridor, observation of the Catatumbo Lightning and a visit to the city of Mérida, among other fascinating routes in the national territory.
