New equipment! Luis Arráez leaves the San Francisco Giants (+MLB)

Venezuelan Luis Arráez, second baseman for the San Francisco Giants, was announced as the new player for the Philadelphia Phillies.

The three-time batting champion is once again experiencing a spectacular campaign, with an average of .324, with OPS of .801 and OPS+ of 127, in addition to an excellent defensive campaign.

By staying in the National League with the Phillies, Arráez will be able to opt for the batting title, since he will not move to the American League.

This will be the fifth jersey that the Venezuelan defends in the major leagues, after his stint as Minnesota Twins (2019-2022), Miami Marlins (2023-2024), San Diego Padres (2024-2025) and San Francisco Giants (2026).

Arráez, 29, joined the San Francisco club on a one-year, $12 million contract during the offseason and quickly emerged as its most valuable position player.

The Phillies not only acquired Venezuelan Luis Arráez, but also pitcher Caleb Kilian; for their part, the Giants receive Ramón Márquez (FIL Prospect No. 4) and Marty Gair (Clas e-A Alta Reliever)
