The Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, announced this Saturday the arrival of a significant shipment of 30,000 doses of polio vaccine to the country, thanks to the alliance between Cuba and Venezuela.

The shipment arrived at Arturo Michelena International Airport, in Carabobo state, as part of the Bolivarian Government's effort to comply with Q4, social transformation, which “seeks to guarantee the well-being of the youngest members of the household,” Gutiérrez said on his social networks.

He explained that these vaccines are intended for newborns and children under 5 years of age, to strengthen the Expanded Immunization Program. “Despite the economic blockade facing our country,” the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, “continues to ensure the necessary doses to protect the health of our infants,” the minister emphasized.

He also exalted that this fight for life and health reaffirms the commitment to the future of Venezuela and the social welfare of its entire population.
