During the trial of the former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, the New York Federal Attorney's Office presented a recording between two drug traffickers that mention an illegal clue that was used by Hernández to receive tons of drugs.

The voice of the recording belongs to the former Honduran cartel, Devis Leonel Madariaga, who detailed the drug diversions with the help of his country's top political officials, including former president Hernández, who bribed to avoid arrests and continue drug trafficking.

It is worth noting that Madariaga had been cooperating with the DEA since 2013 and was the one who revealed that Hernández was taking advantage of his position as president to protect drug trafficking.

For his part, federal prosecutor David Robles described Hernández this Wednesday in front of Judge Kevin Castel as a corrupt politician who used the funding of the main drug traffickers in Honduras to come to power, according to the press release Enter504.com .

It is worth remembering that Juan Orlando Hernández is tried in New York for drug trafficking and other alleged crimes two years after leaving power and being extradited to the United States.
