Nicolás Maduro Guerra, member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) called on the Venezuelan people not to be carried away by false news that only seeks to confuse and divide.
During the Great Mobilization of the Transport Sector, in Caracas, he reiterated that the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady, Cilia Flores, “are firm and strong”, despite being kidnapped in the United States (USA).
He asserted that they are clear about the fighting role they have to play, “they have peace of mind and faith placed in God and in the People of Venezuela. That they trust the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez and the team that is in charge.”
He recalled that both President Maduro and the First Lady, as government officials, have immunity. “What happened in Venezuela broke all codes and all international norms (...) We have to raise the flag to keep the peace in the region. We have to take to the streets to claim our dignity and our sovereignty,” he reiterated.
