This Monday, January 5th, the deputy to the National
Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, urged the unity of the revolutionary
forces to continue to face the aggressions of the
United States (USA), in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela and in the demand for the
release of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and of
“We have to be united, with
Delcy Rodríguez as president in charge, with Diosdado Cabello, with Jorge
Rodríguez, and all of us from the Bolivarian Base Committee, from the Community
Councils, from the Social Movements, we must be more united than
ever (...) Unity, struggle, battle and victory, the formula of Hugo Chávez, to remain
united and rested,” he said.
Also, during the Long March for the Liberation
of President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, in Caracas, Maduro Guerra assured that his father, the legitimate
president of the country, is innocent and the victim of an attempted kidnapping,
and confirmed that he would continue to be defended by the Revolution. “Nobody is going to
make Nicolás Maduro lower his face because he is a man with dignity, he is not a
drug trafficker or a criminal, he is an
innocent prisoner of war president,” he said.
He took the opportunity to thank, on
behalf of his family, the solidarity of the Venezuelan people in the face of the kidnapping of
President Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. “There
are not enough graces to thank,” he said, while stressing that
they work together with a team in their legitimate defense and that he held talks
with the president.
He also highlighted to the People the
importance of continuing to consolidate Venezuela as a productive country, to maintain peace and to open
the economy to respectful investments, always under the
principles of sovereignty and national dignity.
For this reason, he assured that he trusts President Maduro, “on the road he left, I trust the vice-president he appointed until the last day he was here and now she is the president, I fully trust our Armed Forces and I trust more than ever from my heart, my soul, my conscience as a patriot (...) and as a street man, who will continue to stand by your side, no matter what happens I trust that we will move forward and that we will win.”
