Nicolás Maduro Guerra: Women's Movement Must Debate New Family Code

The candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB) for the National Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, stated that the “New Family Code” must be debated in the country's women's movement, in order to integrate them with the other social sectors and learn about their proposals.
During a meeting with women from the Montalbán sector, in Caracas, Maduro Guerra said that the new family code must begin to be debated from the women's movement, as the nucleus of the Venezuelan family, and that the proposals come out of here, as well as setting up discussion tables, in all neighborhoods of Caracas, condominium boards, communes, UBCH”.
At the same time, he pointed out that this discussion should include communal councils, together with all social movements and Venezuelan youth. In the same way, the GPPSB candidate asserted the importance of deepening rights in terms of family planning.
The GPPSB candidate for the AN reaffirmed his commitment to Venezuelan women and urged them to wisely choose a path of hope and stability for the future, on May 25 of this year, where the parliamentarians who will form part of the Legislative Power will be elected.
