In 2024, the Venezuelan economy will grow by 8%, despite the sanctions imposed by imperialism on our country, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During the inauguration, this Wednesday, of the Metal, Iron, Steel and Aluminum Expo 2024, in the state of Bolivar, the head of state assured that this goal will be possible thanks to the joint work of all the country's productive forces, cross-cutting dialogue and “the favor of God”.

“This year we will grow 8% or more, with sanctions or without sanctions. There is the right of the surnames and their puppets asking for more sanctions. Let the gringos do what they want, but Venezuela is not being stopped by anything or anyone,” he said.

He also stressed that this rate of growth will continue over the coming years for the welfare of the country.

On the other hand, the President pointed out that this economic growth in the country began in 2021, a time when, in his opinion, the People sought alternatives and began ventures, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“As soon as we decreed the easing of the quarantine, a process of real economic recovery began. We entered the year 2022 with a boost, without the threat of the pandemic, with a growth of 15% in Gross Domestic Product, recognized by international organizations. The year 2023 meant deep growth in the real economy of 5.5%, he recalled
