Nicolás Maduro: Venezuela has achieved a miracle with food production in the country

Venezuela has achieved, with its economic recovery and food production, a miracle, the product of a plan that is being carried out, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Venezuela, for the first time in the last 100 years, when a dependent rentier model was imposed in the country, food was never produced. Today, one of the great achievements of this country, in this phase of resistance, attacks and sanctions, is that today we produce 100 percent of the food that is consumed here,” said the Head of State during a meeting with members of the Brazilian Landless Rural Workers Movement.

In this regard, he stressed that currently in the country there is a full supply of food, a product of national labor. “Before, the oil checkbook was so strong that the logic was why do it if I can buy it,” he explained.

The President also assured that, with the application of Unilateral Coercive Measures by imperialism, our country lost 99 percent of its revenues.
