Cuban professor and international analyst Ernesto Wong stated that the American model of life is going through a structural crisis that is manifested in several dimensions.
During his participation in the program Without Tricks or Tricks, Wong cited a report published by China three years ago, which highlights that more than 70% of the population of the United States is involved in open judicial proceedings. Based on this data, the analyst highlighted the role of intelligence agencies in social control, in particular in the identification and deportation of migrants.
Wong described a multiple crisis that includes aspects of security, values and economy. In terms of security, he mentioned the frequent shootings in schools, related to the free sale of weapons promoted by the military-industrial complex. Regarding values, he highlighted the normalization of violent content in the audiovisual media and the loss of credibility of the American model of life, with surveys indicating that about 80% of the population does not believe in this system.
Wong also referred to the internal debt of the United States as a factor that exceeds its capacity to contain, aggravated by economic pressure from China, a country that has surpassed the United States in terms of purchasing power. According to the analyst, this situation is part of a political strategy promoted by President Donald Trump.
The professor concluded that the American crisis has repercussions in Latin America, where the dominant sectors continue to replicate references to the American model, regardless of its political, economic and social deterioration.
