North Korea conducts military exercises with new tactical ballistic missile

Last Wednesday, the General Missile Engineering Administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) successfully conducted tests of a new tactical ballistic missile, called HwasongPO-11da-4.5.

According to information published by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the HwasongPO-11da-4.5 is equipped with a high-capacity warhead, capable of carrying conventional loads of up to 4.5 tons.

The action was intended to verify the accuracy of the system, as well as the explosive power of its imposing warhead, which is designed to reach an average range of 320 kilometers.

In addition to the tests of the new missile, a modernized strategic cruise missile was also evaluated. This missile has been optimized to improve its combat performance, reinforcing the DPRK's weapons capabilities.
