In a positive assessment of the development of the holiday season, the governor of the Bolivarian state of Nueva Esparta, Marisel Velásquez, presented the scope of Operation Holy Week 2026, in which she highlighted significant growth in the flow of visitors and the consolidation of the entity as Venezuela's favorite destination.

The regional president reported that a mobilization of more than 35,000 visitors is projected, representing an increase of 19% compared to the previous year, a boom that is supported by a robust connectivity plan that includes 35 special flights confirmed through the Rutaca, Estelar, Aeropostal and Venezolana airlines, as well as 37 weekly ferry frequencies and three weekly boat routes from Carúpano.

In this regard, Velásquez specified that since March 28, we have registered 80% of accommodation, a figure that reached 100% as of April 1.

To optimize the visitor experience, the Tourism Corporation (Corpotur) has deployed strategic information points in Playa Guacuco with digital catalogs using QR codes. In addition, the entertainment agenda for the coming days includes:


Take out the Pecho Fest: April 2nd and 3rd at Playa El Agua.

Beach Festival: April 1, 2 and 3 at Downtown Beach Club.

Ruta Fest: Friday, April 3rd at Paseo del Mar (free admission).

Through the REIR recreational program, high impact points have been activated in Playa El Agua, Guacuco, La Galera, Concorde and Zaragoza, where families can enjoy sports and cultural activities.
