The board of directors of UCV FC reported that the coaching staff led by manager Daniel Sasso will not continue with the team after the fourth day of the 2026 Clausura Tournament.
“The board of directors of UCV FC and the coaching staff, led by Daniel Sasso, have reached an agreement to end the successful working relationship of recent years,” the tricolor team reports in a post on their social networks.
The club also thanked the coach and his staff for all the moments they had, the dreams fulfilled at the local and international levels and the titles won.
Likewise, they wished him a lot of success in his next projects. “Thank you for being part of our story,” he added.
With Sasso at the helm, UCV qualified for the Qualifying Phase of the Copa Libertadores 2025, Champion of the 2025 Apertura Tournament, Champion of the Venezuela Cup 2025, Champion of the FUTVE League, Champion of the Copa Centenario; and Champion of the Venezuelan Super Cup 2026.
For his great work managing the team, Sasso was chosen as the Best Coach of the 2025 season in the FUTVE League.
Currently, the UCV team is in the twelfth place on the leaderboard with 3 points in 4 dates.
